I know it’s easy to get soft and “slouchy” during the winter time, especially when you watch too much TV and pack on a few pounds with the night time snacks. But, this year, don’t do it.
Stay fit instead…
Here are a few tips:
Take your clubs out of the trunk and put them in the TV room. Instead of being a couch potato, practice a few putts, work on your grip, lift a few weights or do a few ab crunches to keep active while you’re watching TV.
Set up a little putting area and use a quarter for the cup. If you can consistently stop at the quarter, you will definetely make the putt. By springtime, when you’re out on the green, the cup will look huge compared to the quarter.
Watch as much golf on TV (while you’re putting, etc.) as you can. Even watching other players will help you keep your head in the game.
If all else fails, head South and play a few rounds. 18 holes and a dose of sunshine will fix your winter time golf doldrums.
Anyone want to go South with me to the Golf Show in Orlando? I won’t be playing, but there’s lots of really great golf products to check out.
